Description:
Characterized by its square, blackish, and hairy stems, and large, hairy leaves with an unpleasant odor. The leaves are ovate, opposite, and have toothed (dentate) margins. Flowers are bluish-purple, often tinged with pink or red, and borne in branched clusters. The fruits are globose drupes, with the pinkish calyx enlarging around them.
